Is Your Home Haunted?

Haunted is a term used to describe a place or object that has been known to have paranormal activity. Some places are haunted because of the stories attached to them while others have been haunted by a tragedy or event that took place there. Whatever the reason, there seems to be a special “spooky” quality to these locations that attracts many people.

Often ghosts are said to haunt particular objects or places because of unfinished business or unresolved emotions that prevent them from moving on with their lives. These ghosts are considered intelligent and will sometimes communicate to the living by using electronic devices such as EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) or through causing physical manifestations like moving objects, door opening and closing and unexplained noises. These ghosts are often referred to as poltergeists.

Some ghosts are believed to be the souls of deceased people or animals while others are believed to be elementals or demonic beings. Regardless of the type of spirit, these entities can be good or bad depending on their actions in life and how they choose to end their existence.

People who have a “haunted” home often hear mysterious noises in the middle of the night or experience other strange events. However, it is important to know the difference between a ghost and an ordinary phenomenon like a house settling or a raccoon crawling around in the dark. If you are convinced that your house is truly haunted, it is recommended to contact a legitimate ghost investigator to determine the truth.
